SAIC is looking for a journeyman Test and Evaluation Engineer to support PMA-242 (Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Weapons Program Office) at NAVAIR located a NAS Patuxent River, Md. This candidate will provide engineering/test and evaluation support. Will also support program management or project management services in the form of planning, scheduling, and reporting in support of assigned projects in accordance with DoD acquisition program management and T&E instructions and guidebooks.
Duties will include:
Participation as a member of the test leadership team, supporting multiple projects within the portfolio
Must have experience with JUONs/SOW's, writing TEMPS/MTS, holding WIPTs, working with outside agencies, and participating in other acquisition/test and evaluation functions
Support development and review of technical requirements for test planning and reporting efforts
Support program management in the form of planning, scheduling, and reporting in support of assigned projects in accordance with DoD acquisition program management and T&E instructions and guidebooks
Support all aspects of developing the overall test strategy and products required to plan, execute and report on test programs and projects
Identify and support appropriate types and depth of testing required for the active phase of the comprehensive weapon systems projects
Develop deficiency reports and Report of Test Results, to include maintenance of the project notebook (test procedures, plans, flight cards, daily reports, etc.). Contractor shall Identify data parameters, instrumentation requirements, perform analysis, and conduct system evaluation
Support the technical studies and analyses for advanced testing philosophies, to include providing recommendations on specific approaches, test facilities requirements, and equipment or system requirements
Ability to perform all functional duties independently
Qualifications
Education and Experience requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required (cannot be substituted).
2+ years of relevant experience with NAVAIR Test & Engineering
Clearance level: An active Top Secret clearance is required. Also, must be SCI eligible
Desired Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in integrating and managing complex testing and evaluation (T&E) programs within the DoD environment, ensuring adherence to mission-specific requirements and standards.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using advanced test instrumentation systems and data analysis tools to support comprehensive evaluations, identify deficiencies, and enhance system performance.
- Proven track record of successful collaboration with Joint Urgent Operational Needs Statements (JUONs), Statements of Work (SOW), and Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), showcasing a deep understanding of acquisition and T&E documentation processes.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
