Description

Leads the development, implementation, and direction of effective quality assurance strategies and systems for the company's Residential Carpet. Build a strong strategic partnership with Residential Soft Surface Business Leadership to maintain high levels of Customer Satisfaction for all products and services. Ensure that all product compliance and regulatory standards are understood and met.

Responsibilities:

  • Track and evaluate in partnership with the Corporate Compliance Office governmental (FHA,CPSC,GLP, etc) and other regulatory sources and their impact relative to the current and future business.

  • Oversee the company's Residential soft surface quality strategies and policy development.

  • Directs the functional resources related to Residential Soft Surface Quality Assurance,

  • Develops and implements comprehensive quality assurance strategies for the Residential Business' existing and newly created products and services.

  • Assures all new designs meet the requirements and expectations of the customer, certifications and warranty claims.

  • Review and evaluate where appropriate proposed changes to products and or processes to ensure quality levels are maintained.

  • Provide direction for significant deviation events that may impact compliance status.

  • Provide direction for significant deviation events that may impact fitness for use.

  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations, including license and certification requirements.

  • Manages and provides needed internal training for CPSC requirements and other statutory guidelines and regulations.

  • Acts as liaison for inspections and coordinates meetings CPSC, HUD, CGSB, Customer audits, etc. on issues of quality.

  • Provide organizational leadership for relevant quality and regulatory professional organizations.

  • Prepares with legal and compliance responses to inquiries from regulatory authorities.

  • Manages budget requirements and monitors expenses.

Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant business experience.

  • 4 year Degree: scientific discipline preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills; team member that can work collaboratively with colleagues across all functions.

  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and writing skills are required.

  • Business acumen to understand business risk and challenges, and recognizing corporate opportunities.

  • Ability to understand the implications and consequences of business decisions and to provide counsel accordingly.

  • Black Belt Preferred
