SUMMARY

Under administrative direction, the Regulatory Reporting Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing regulatory computations and filings for the Company's broker-dealer subsidiaries. These include periodic reserve deposit requirements, net capital calculations, FOCUS reports and other supplemental schedules. This role will also support the monthly financial close process by preparing journal entries, reconciling various balance sheet accounts and monitoring intercompany transactions and affiliate agreements. The Financial Analyst will also document policies and procedures to ensure conformity with regulatory requirements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare essential elements of the broker-dealer's weekly customer reserve deposit requirement and monthly computations of net capital.
• Responsible for journal entry preparation and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts in conjunction with the monthly financial close process.
• Support the compilation and analysis of monthly FOCUS filings and other periodic regulatory and financial reporting obligations.
• Document policies and procedures surrounding work performed in accordance with SEC and FINRA regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and proactively implement solution recommendations.
• Responsible for upkeep, including revisions and any necessary amendments, to various affiliate agreements.
• Prepare essential elements of the broker-dealer's weekly customer reserve deposit requirement and monthly computations of net capital.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures within the accounting field including familiarity with GAAP.
• Solid analytical skills and the ability to evaluate systems and processes.
• General knowledge of economic principles, capital markets, the financial services industry and associated terminology.
• Minimum Required: Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum Required: 1 to 5 years' related experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
