The IOT team in Saskatoon brings real-time automation and control to apartment buildings for property managers and residents. Our technologies interact with smart home devices (locks, thermostats, etc.) to automate everything from thermostat settings to maintenance processes and water leak detection.
Join us to work on a skilled team building and supporting large scale distributed systems to orchestrate operations across millions of devices. You will be involved in the complete software development lifecycle from research, design, implementation, test, deployment to maintaining the event-based microservices on the cloud.
Applicants must have experience with:
- Java and associated toolchains: IntelliJ, JUnit, Maven, etc.
- Agile Development, Domain Driven Design, & Test-Driven-Development
- Relational database design/query best practices
- Writing clean, maintainable code
It's a bonus if you have experience with:
- Distributed Micro-Services with actors
- Event Sourcing
- MySQL, Cassandra, NATS, Kafka
- Docker, Kubernetes
- Cloud Platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS)
- Security risk and vulnerability mitigation
- Device communication protocols (Z-Wave, Zigbee, BLE, LoRaWAN)
- IoT development (side projects count!)
