Supporting our Second Shift you will receive a 10 % Pay Premium when working the Second Shift
Works from specifications, drawings, process sheets, engineering change orders and written and verbal instruction to inspect components subassemblies and assemblies against required quality standards (i.e., proper component orientation, masking, soldering, coating, etc.).
- Utilizes basic precision tools such as verniers, microscopes, and gauges required to perform inspections. May use more complex tools such as omega meters.
- Identifies and documents defects and calculates defect rates against specified control limits. Inspects and tests components, subassemblies and assemblies after rework, modifications or repairs to verify defects have been corrected and ensure continuity to drawings, prints, etc.
- Verifies configuration of product to ensure conformity to most recent revision.
- Prepares basic inspection data and inputs into the Shop Floor Data System for future review and evaluation. Maintains required records.
- Conducts process audits in all phases of manufacturing and inspection (i.e., calibration, materials, process sheets, etc.) to confirm processes are being accurately followed.
- May interface with engineering regarding technical issues (i.e., clarification of engineering change orders) and problem resolution.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Skills and Education
Required education: High School/GED Requires six (6) months of electronic assembly experience. Able to interpret and understand the instructions on process sheets, prints or route cards. Able to use hand tools (cutters, pliers, preformers, screw drivers, etc.). Able to identify electronic components and properly orient them into a circuit board according to polarity. Able to use measurement tools such as scales, micrometers and calipers. May be required to achieve specified solder certification in various assembly/soldering techniques per Company and customer standards. Identifies and documents defects. Inspects subassemblies and assemblies after rework, modifications or repairs to verify defects have been corrected and ensure continuity to drawings, prints, etc. Verifies configuration of product to ensure conformity to most recent revision
