Director of Pharmacy Centennial Peaks Hospital Louisville, CO

Opportunity to step into a leadership role. Staffing position. Weekday hours and on-call weekends and evenings.

As Director of Pharmacy at Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS), we'll rely on you to fill orders and oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling and supervising activities in the hospital pharmacy according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and State and Federal laws. You'll recommend innovations in the practice and function of the hospital pharmacy to Administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. You'll need the ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns in addition to the ability to work cooperatively with other members of Comprehensive Pharmacy Services and hospital staff.

About the Facility: Centennial Peaks is an innovative, 104-bed hospital expanding to 104 beds offering comprehensive psychiatric care for adults and adolescents. Located in Louisville, the facility serves communities in Boulder and Denver as well as the Front Range. The Pharmacy is open week days from 8am-5pm and weekends, and fills approximately 150 orders per day. Orders are filled manually. There is a night cabinet. The Pharmacy is managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) and all the staff are employees of CPS. In addition to the Director there is a staff of Part-time and Per Diem Pharmacists and Technician.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Degree (BS or PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Colorado Pharmacist licensure in good standing
  • Current or recent experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital or retail setting
  • Prior pharmacy management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated skill in providing good customer service
