Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

Description: As a per diem, non-exempt Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: This position can work up to 19 hours per week, providing coverage "as needed," and at least 4 hours per month. The hours for the pharmacy are Monday-Thursday between 7:00am-5:00pm, Friday 7:00am-3:30pm and Saturday/Sunday/Holidays between 7:00am-1:00pm. This position has no regularly scheduled hours.
About the Facility: The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 117-bed private behavioral health care facility on a beautiful 52-acre rural campus. The Meadows provides comprehensive services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults. It is owned and operated by Universal Health Services, accredited by The Joint Commission, and licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW). Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
- PA Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements
TB Skin Test (completed at hospital)
PA Child Abuse Registry Check
CE Child Abuse Classes
Some knowledge of ePatch monitoring
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
