Reporting to the Director for Catholic Campus Ministry, the Ministry Coordinator for Retreats and Catholic Faith Formation is responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of the Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM) Retreat program and Catholic faith formation programs, as well as for facililtating CCM's Latinx ministry programs in collaboration with the Latinx Cultural Center. The Ministry Coordinator's responsibility for Faith Formation programs also includes overseeing CCM's contribution to Latinx Ministry, coordination of social media outreach, pastoral care, and contributing to the division's Loop Ministry Outreach. This includes the recruitment and supervision of student leaders and student teams working in those programs. S/he regularly provides pastoral support, guidance and referrals as needed for individual students in their spiritual development and works closely and in collaboration with the division's Student Engagement Team contributes to division-wide initiatives.
Responsibilities & Duties
Planning, promoting, implementing, and assessing the CCM Retreat Program, including supervision and training of student retreat teams.
Planning, promoting, implementing, and assessing Latinx Ministry efforts in collaboration with the Latinx Cultural Center including the supervision and training of leaders and teams responsible for these programs.
Outreach to and programming for students in the Loop campus.
Planning, promoting, implementing and overseeing the social media outreach for the area.
Supervising the students who are assigned to these duties.
Assists in coordinating the pastoral care that is provided by the Division of Mission and Ministry such as hospital visits, attendance at funeral services etc.
Other duties may include, but not be limited to: leading a service immersion trip, facilitating a Vincentian Heritage Tour, and assisting in the implementation of large scale Divisional events.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Roman Catholic in good standing who holds a B.A. [M.A./M.Div. preferred] in theology/ministry.
A minimum of two years as a professional staff person in Catholic Campus Ministry or related field.
Experience in planning, promoting, recruiting, and implementing retreats.
Working knowledge and experience (training /certification preferred) in youth/young adult faith formation and development.
Experience working with diverse populations.
- Fluency or high level of proficiency in Spanish.
The University Minister for Retreats and Catholic Faith Formation supervises, trains and provides faith formation for the students who are working on retreats, Latinx ministry, and social media.
This training includes regular meetings, performance appraisals or similar evaluation processes, as well as catechetical education that assists the students to become leaders in the Catholic Church.
The University Minister for Retreats and Catholic Faith Formation works with the division's Administrative Assistant to manage financial dimensions of the CCM Retreat Program and faith formation programming.
The Minister works closely with her/his supervisor in tracking expenditures and projecting budget needs for each program, materials, etc.

Willingness and ability to lead public prayer and ritual.
Proven capacity to work well and thrive in an intercultural and interfaith context.
