Job Purpose: This position is responsible for designing enhancements and new business applications and/or information systems solutions through integration of technical and business requirements; serving as technical designer to identify best solution and resulting technical specifications within limits of code environment; linking Business Analyst needs and Architect definition to technical solutions. This position will also be supporting maintenance, troubleshooting and production support related activities to ensure production systems are working as expected.
Required Job Qualifications:
*Bachelor Degree and 2 years Information Technology OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 4 year Information Technology experience OR 6 years Information Technology experience.
*Programming experience (preferred not required) – Java, .Net or other popular languages
*Experience with Data Integration preferred – Real time, Batch Files, Queue, API, SSO, SOAP, REST
*Knowledge of Data Integration Technologies – Information/Mulesoft
*Database SQL experience strongly preferred
*Knowledge of Scripting Languages – UNIX SHELL, PERL, PYTHON
*Experience working in Agile Scrum team
*System technical design specification writing experience
*Ability to troubleshoot, triage, solve critical time sensitive issues by breaking down issues into core issues
*Strong verbal & written communication skills
*Research business problem & plan technical solutions, software & system recommendations.
*Develop & document detailed data integration & other technical specifications and designs
*Provide application system knowledge to vendor and other cross functional teams.
*Work & coordinate with product vendor and internal architecture, application services, infrastructure, release management and other relevant stakeholders to enable a smooth deployment.
*Manage unstable applications / systems by helping to resolve incidents and issues.
*Work closely with end users to review, guide, troubleshoot and resolve contentious production issues.
*Develop & document standard operating procedures for transition system support into routine operations.
*Enable building of knowledge databases for technology, solutions and domain areas.
*Continuously work on capturing and transferring tacit knowledge to vendors and knowledge management systems.
*Maintain the common I/O access subsystem (database access layer) used to access these files.
*Maintain the in-house developed utilities that assist in managing the databases and their integrity.
*Production and Test problem troubleshooting, debugging & coordination of resolution.
