Day Transportation Coordinator
Location: Bensenville, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Payrate: $24/hour
Work Type: Onsite
Overtime: Occasional overtime as needed
The Day Transportation Coordinator supports daily transportation and warehouse operations by providing clerical and administrative assistance within the receiving office. This role helps ensure smooth coordination between drivers, warehouse clerks, and logistics teams by maintaining accurate documentation, supporting outbound and inbound activities, and responding to day-to-day operational needs.
Under general supervision, the coordinator performs standard yet diversified office and logistics-support tasks that require working knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation processes, and company policies. This is a fast-paced role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working early morning hours.
Key Responsibilities-
Assist warehouse clerks with receiving orders and checking drivers in and out

Support transportation and will-call operations, ensuring orders are prepared for outbound movement

Coordinate documentation related to shipping, receiving, and transportation activity

Enter, update, and maintain data in internal systems and databases

Respond to general inquiries related to transportation and logistics activities

Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors

Organize, file, and maintain accurate paperwork

Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems

Comfort with data entry, documentation, and basic reporting

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced logistics environment

High attention to detail and accuracy

Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Previous transportation, warehouse, or logistics support experience

Ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing priorities

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Reliable, organized, and proactive

High School Diploma or GED preferred

1–5 years of related experience preferred

Warehouse or transportation experience is a plus, not required
