We are seeking an experienced and motivated Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) Planner to join our team at a busy chemical facility currently undergoing expansion. This long-term contract position in Plaquemine, LA, offers an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing plant operations. The role has the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
- Plan and schedule all maintenance tasks, including HSSE inspections, preventive maintenance (PM), reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), plant maintenance, and training for mechanical and I&E craft personnel.
- Develop and coordinate daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance schedules in collaboration with the operations team to facilitate necessary plant shutdowns.
- CMMS Management:
- Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software, ensuring accurate PM development and data entry.
- Implement new plant assets into the CMMS and maintain stewardship of PM compliance metrics.
- Process CMMS transactions, including requisitioning, accounts payable (AP), goods receipt (GR), goods issue (GI), and reconciliation.
- Maintenance Administration:
- Oversee all aspects of plant maintenance (planned, predictive, preventive, and corrective) in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for the procurement of plant equipment and materials.
- Manage maintenance reporting metrics and participate in technical and administrative programs, such as cost reduction, process improvement, communication, and employee development.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Act as the focal point for rental services and PEI (Predictive Equipment Inspection) schedule execution.
- Coordinate site services, including plant grounds, buildings, process, and utilities.
- Steward the maintenance work process, including backlog management and schedule compliance.
- Participate in morning staff meetings and other required meetings.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations and maintenance.
- Required:
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical and/or instrumentation maintenance planning.
- Five to seven years of experience in the electrical and/or instrumentation field.
- Preferred:
- Prior experience working in a chemical facility.
