Setter/Drawer needed at Worcester, MA

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 4:30 am- 1 pm (30-min lunch)
  • Pay rate: 17$ per hour
  • Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 3-month duration (with possible extension)
  • Start date: Feb 2026
Job Summary: Setter/Drawer II

The Setter/Drawer II is responsible for planning and building product configurations on kiln cars for heat processing. This role involves organizing ceramics or abrasives according to firing schedules, loading/unloading kilns, and performing initial quality inspections.

Key Qualifications
  • Education/Experience: HS Diploma/GED and up to 3 months of experience to reach proficiency.

  • Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints and perform intermediate math (standard/metric).

  • Tools: Proficient with calipers, micrometers, measuring tapes, and basic computer systems.

Physical & Mental Requirements
  • Strength: Ability to repetitively lift and move up to 50 lbs independently.

  • Mobility: Constant standing and walking; frequent reaching, handling, and bending.

  • Vision: Strong depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to focus on close-up tasks.

Work Environment
  • Conditions: Industrial setting with moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to heat, dust, or fumes.

  • Safety: Must be comfortable wearing PPE (respirators, safety shoes, hearing protection, etc.).
