Medical Mutual is seeking a Total Rewards Analyst to join our Benefits and Compensation team in our downtown Cleveland headquarters.


Under general supervision, the Total Reward Analyst participates in the development, implementation and administration of benefit and/or compensation programs and supporting human resources information systems. Serves as a resource to managers and HR Business partners on benefits, compensation and/or related human resources policies and procedures. Responsibilities
  • Supports administration, communication and issue resolution for all benefit programs (e.g., health and welfare, retirement plans, etc.).
  • Participates in the preparation, development and implementation of new benefits initiatives, programs and policies including the evaluation and selection of service providers. Coordinates with vendors, legal counsel and internal departments.
  • Ensures compliance with all governmental recordkeeping and reporting requirements for benefit programs including 5500s, nondiscrimination testing and amending Plan Documents.
  • Creates, maintains and analyzes various reports through spreadsheet and database reporting applications; interprets results, identifies actionable items and presents results. Participates in human resources surveys. Researches benefit issues related to regulations, design features, prominence, etc.
  • Supports administration of compensation programs (i.e. job evaluation process, FLSA review, market pricing, sales incentive plans, base compensation, executive compensation, etc.).
  • Keeps abreast of new legislation/regulations that impact compensation and benefit programs.
  • Participates in the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of HRIS.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Total Rewards Analyst II
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field.
  • 2 years professional experience primarily in employee benefits with some exposure to compensation and HRIS.
  • Professional certification (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM)) a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, DOL and IRS regulations governing administration of both qualified and non-qualified plans.
  • Knowledge of base and variable pay concepts, market pricing and compensation regulations (wage and hour, FLSA).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) skills.

Sr. Total Rewards Analyst
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years professional experience primarily in employee benefits with some exposure to compensation and HRIS.
  • Professional certification (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP or SCP), HR Certification Institute (HRCI PHR or SPHR)) a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of benefit plan evaluation and assessment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, DOL and IRS regulations governing administration of both qualified and non-qualified plans
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and database reporting programs
  • Strong process, analytical and organizational skills
  • Advanced report writing skills
  • Proven ability to organize and manage multiple projects
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to orient, train and assist more junior level staff
