Directs and manages the operations and activities of the Orthopedic Unit. Responsible for the overall management of the department's daily operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives established by upper management. The Department Director assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to assure quality service on a 24/7 basis. The Department Director is responsible for meeting JCAHO standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures, for managing supplies and equipment in the units, for promoting teamwork with physicians and all healthcare providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and for appropriate resource management.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Florida
- or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
- Current ACLS Certification.
- Current BLS Certification.
- 3-5 years management experience
