Performs all functions of the A/C & Refrigeration worker.
Maintain data in CMMS programs.
Performs preventive maintenance and repair on the Computerized Building Automation Systems that control the chillers, air handlers, chilled water, heating pumps and other associated equipment throughout the facilities.
Under supervision, performs modifications to the DDC and pneumatic control systems. Performs modifications to the software as necessary to manipulate control loops with the addition and deletion of monitoring and control points.
Under supervision, assists in maintaining repair parts inventory sufficient to repair HVAC equipment within a time frame that minimizes systems downtime.
Maintains records of HVAC operations as required by code.
Observes Universal Precautions consistently.
Wears proper Personal Protective Equipment when appropriate.
Wears clothing and Health System badge consistent with dress code, and attends to personal hygiene to maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance.
Meets Health System attendance standards.
Performs additional duties as directed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent with one year technical training or equivalent preferred. Competent computer skills for inventory and data base systems. Excellent organization skills are required.
Licensure: Class E Drivers License required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years maintenance experience.
Other: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Excellent communication skills essential and should be able to perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance area to a minimal degree. Requires driver's skill set and experience to perform PM and repairs on multiple systems types, must be able to prioritize work orders and provide results, without direct supervision, in a fast pace environment. Must be self motivated. Physical demands are attached plus push and pull 50+lbs., and grip at 75 lbs. Pinch up to 20lbs; kneel, crouch, and crawl occasionally. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Will be exposed to noise, heat and cold.
Preferred Licensure: HVAC or Electrical License preferred.
