Job Summary and Qualifications

The Staff Accountant assists with the planning, coordination and administration of general accounting activities of the hospital including month-end close, maintenance of financial records/files, Medicare reporting and ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. What you will do in this role:

Under the general direction of the Controller and Assistant Controller, responsible for general accounting functions including but not limited to preparation and posting of month-end journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and review of financial performance for service lines.

  • Financial analysis including data collection, analysis, budget compilation, and reimbursement projects.
  • Annual completion of tax and audit schedules.
  • Other projects as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Required knowledge of accounting systems. Proficiency with PC based spreadsheet and word processing programs. Microsoft office preferred.
  • Three years experience required.
  • Ability to communicate orally, maintain effective and amiable relationship with customers and co-workers.
  • Computer skills, 10-key skills, facsimile 
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • No Travel Travel Required.
  • 5 years experience Required Years of Experience.
  • This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
