Description
Description
The STG Delivery organization is where strategic infrastructure vision becomes reality. We build and operate resilient, scalable cloud platforms that support mission-critical workloads across the business. Our team values curiosity, ownership, and pragmatic engineering — we're looking for people who want to grow their technical depth while shipping real impact. This role is a hybrid role located in Andover MA. Candidates must have an interim clearance to start.
The Role
We're looking for an Associate Cloud Engineer to join STG Delivery and begin building a career in cloud infrastructure. This role is designed for someone early in their journey — new grads, career changers, or self-taught engineers — who has foundational technical knowledge and a strong drive to learn. You'll receive close mentorship and structured guidance as you build the skills to grow into a Cloud Engineer role.
What You'll Do
- Learn by doing — Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure under direct guidance from senior team members.
- Take on scoped tasks — Own small, well-defined pieces of larger projects, with clear support and review from the team.
- Practice automation — Write basic infrastructure-as-code and contribute to CI/CD pipeline maintenance, with guidance.
- Support troubleshooting — Shadow and assist in diagnosing infrastructure issues; participate in incident response as a learning opportunity.
- Collaborate — Work alongside engineers across assigned programs, asking questions and building your understanding of how the team operates.
- Build your foundation — Actively pursue certifications, training, and hands-on learning to grow your technical skill set.
- Participate — Sit in on architecture discussions and planning sessions to build context and start developing your own technical voice.
Qualifications
