SPA has an immediate need for a Security Specialist to join our team to support PEO Aviation in Huntsville, AL. The Security Specialist tasks and responsibilities will be performed in accordance with Department of Defense and Army guidance, including, but not limited to, DoDD 5205.07, DoDM 5205.07 V1-V4, AR 380-10, AR 380-5. Responsibilities Work Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL Your day-to-day work will include: Adhering to applicable laws as well as national, DoD, and other security SAP policies and requirements through coordination with the Program Security Office (PSO) and Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO). Assisting PSO/GSSO with operations within their assigned activity, organization, or office. Coordinating with the PSO to create a secure environment to facilitate the successful development and execution of a SAP(s) at each organization or location where SAP information is stored, accessed, or SAP-accessed personnel are assigned. Being responsible for the completeness and accuracy of information submitted in briefing packages. Conducting and documenting initial, event-driven, and annual refresher training. Maintaining personnel security files for each briefed individual. Tracking annual training and paperwork requirements, foreign travel as well as clearance status. Preparing SOPs to implement the security policies and provide the proposed SOPs and SOP changes to the PSO, for approval. Ensuring SAP material is generated, controlled, and stored correctly. Conducting an annual self-inspection, document the self-inspection, and submit to the PSO a corrective action plan that identifies actions to establish compliance. All other SAP related duties as assigned. Qualifications At a minimum you should have: B.A or B.S. in a related field Active TS/SCI level security clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment 10+ years' experience Knowledge of Information Security, Physical Security, Personnel Security, and Special Access Program policies, procedures, safeguards, and operational security measures Experience with SAP databases
