Description

UC Riverside is a nationally-ranked and globally recognized public research university. Under the general supervision of the Assistant Provost for Strategic Initiatives & International Recruitment, the International Program Specialist will help manage UC Riverside's international programs and coordinate numerous aspects of program planning and implementation, including program structure, marketing and student outreach, and program evaluation. As an official representative of the University, the incumbent will enhance recruitment and yield events targeted at prospective and admitted students and is available to students, families, counselors, and the general public to interpret, enforce, and explain University policies and regulations. The incumbent is expected to conduct modest travel domestically and internationally to foster institutional relationships. This is a 2-year career position with the possibility of extension dependent upon funding and need. A presentation will be required as part of the selection process. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Experience Experience Requirement To include a minimum of 3 years working in international education industry or related fields. Preferred 4 - 7 years of related experience. Required
Special Conditions Special Condition Requirement Travel. Required Travel Outside of Normal Business Hours. Required Travel required for university related business, meetings and/or conferences. Required Must possess or obtain a Valid CA Drivers License in accordance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles, if driving a university/personal vehicle for university related business. Required

Ability to interpret policies and procedures to prospective students and the public.

Ability to create extraordinary customer service experiences, including skill in identifying the client's perspective and maintaining a commitment to excellence in customer service.
Thorough knowledge to conduct needs assessment and development of new presentations/courses to meet organizational needs.
Ability to listen and respond to the needs of customers to achieve excellent customer service measured by outcomes rather than activities.
Ability to respond and remain flexible around changing priorities, fluctuating workloads and constant succession of inquiries.
Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments; i.e., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Knowledgeable in analytical skills, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
Thorough knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with schools, universities, community organizations, and other institutions.
Ability to develop recruitment programs, and design effective materials.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to speak with and listen perceptively to persons of various international backgrounds.
Ability to foster a collaborative and cooperative team environment and function as a supportive team member with academic and staff personnel at all levels.
Thorough and comprehensive knowledge of academic programs, including curricula, admissions requirements, and financial aid programs, at colleges / universities and specifically at UC, and / or specific colleges and schools.
In-depth knowledge of current public educational programs and trends.
Preferred Qualifications Strong familiarity with CRM functionality.

Experience working with international partners in different time zones.

Intensive knowledge and expertise with WeChat Marketing and other global marketing tools.

Prior experience of living or studying abroad.

Fluency in a language other than English.
