Start or grow your career as an Operations Coordinator with UCLA Development's Office of Foundation Relations and Corporate Philanthropy (FRCP). We are seeking individuals who can quickly learn about the operations of our FRCP team to provide operations, program and fundraising support. In our positive and supportive team environment, you will grow and deepen a wide range of operational and administrative skills focused on the coordination and/or facilitation of internal and external processes of the FRCP office, including donor visits, office and inter-office meetings, presentations, trainings, and joint projects and tasks with other offices.
The Operations Coordinator will support the various complex operational needs of the UCLA Office of Foundation Relations & Corporate Philanthropy (FRCP), the central office that is the hub for foundation and corporate funding across the UCLA campus. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the this individual will coordinate and execute programmatic responsibilities associated with database management and reporting; financial accounting; prospect management; a range of research tasks; and help organize communications, events, and other activities of FRCP. In this role, the Operations Coordinator is expected to assume increasingly greater responsibility for operations activities. This individual will closely partner with the FRCP staff and will liaise with numerous offices and units across the university. The Operations Coordinator is expected to maintain strong collegial relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to fully represent the values and mission of UCLA, External Affairs, and the FRCP office.
1.Demonstrated experience working in a donor relation and/or fundraising environment. Required 6.Excellent verbal communications skills to collect and relay information clearly; insightful with ability and know how of where to gather information within an organization. Required 7.Effective written communication skills to prepare, proofread, and edit a variety of correspondence and reports for correct grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax with excellent attention to detail. Required 8.Ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion when responding to inquiries and handling sensitive situations, donor files and other departmental information. Required 9.Ability to research, analyze, and gather data sufficient to prepare concise, logical summaries and reports across a variety of topics. Intuitive and inquisitive in conducting research to provide additional information when needed. Required 10.Proficiency with technology and Microsoft Suite of applications (ex., Word, Excel, and Outlook): understanding of exporting data and mail merges; with ability and eagerness to quickly learn software and systems. Required 11.Must maintain a reliable and predictable work schedule to best accommodate efficiency of department needs including ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as required for special events.
