Job Summary
Perform day-to-day operations and provide high quality direct patient care through the Syngenta RTP Health Services clinic site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Abide by all HIPAA regulations assuring the confidentiality of the employee's/patients medical records and all communications regarding the employee
- Follow written Policy, Procedures, Directives, and Standing Orders to provide current and safe medical practices for employees and staff.
- Perform employee testing, including collection of blood & urine specimens and vital signs in preparation for MD physical exam.
- Provide treatment for work and non-work related injuries and illnesses to site employees, including first-aid treatment, transportation to additional care facilities or referrals to appropriate specialists.
- Provide evaluation and emergency treatment for site contractors and Visitors for injuries and illnesses including first aid and referral or transportation to an appropriate facility.
- Assist Licensed Health Care Provider and follow directives, verbal and written orders, and standing orders for Health Services Department
- Prepare employees for business related travel.
- Consult with and assist employees with medical concerns.
- Provide vaccinations according to policy based on the CDC & ACIP
- Under the direction of the site Licensed Health Care Provider, obtain referral appointments for employees who need a specialist consultation and follow up with employee.
- Follow up with employees regarding health Problems, labs, other studies noted during physicals and or visits to health clinic.
- Collect pre-employment drug screen and arrange For Cause drug screens when indicated.
- Medical responder for on-site emergencies
- Ensure proper storage of all medical records meeting both HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
- Assist in Annual Flu Clinic by administering flu vaccines.
- Assist in On-site Spouse Screenings.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience
- Must have a valid RN license in the state.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred.
- Must hold current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in nursing.
- Prior occupational medicine or emergency room/family practice related work experience preferred.
- Phlebotomy proficiency.

- Requires regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Computer Skills
- Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.
- Physical Demands
- Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a desk.
- Some bending and stretching could be required.
- Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
- Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
- Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Work Environment
- Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
- The noise level is usually moderate.
- Air quality is good and temperature is controlled.
The projected schedule for this position is: 3 days per week; 8 hours shifts (24 hours per week).
Final compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
