Position Summary:

Supports a manufacturing department by performing administrative services. Assist with daily production reports and in a variety of clerical activities and tasks, including answering incoming calls, managing the reception area, requisitioning supplies, organizing office communication and activities on a day-to-day basis

Position Responsibilities:

  • Answer all incoming calls and direct them to the correct parties
  • Assists management with administrative tasks such as tracking and compiling information.
  • Greet and assist anyone that comes into the shop (customers, applicants, salespeople)
  • Take messages and deliver them to the correct party.
  • Prepares various reports that includes, but not limited to tracking data using graphs.
  • Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipates needed supplies and reporting to the buyer what needs to be ordered as well as verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings in the conference room (keeping a calendar of meetings up to date.)
  • Work with Engineering to create and validate check sheets.
  • Be proficient at Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Organize and maintain outgoing and incoming job packets, to and from the production floor, recording data in spreadsheets.
  • Help organize and write work instructions.
  • Assist Production Scheduler as needed.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

HS degree or equivalent required

Experience: 

0-2 years prior administrative experience preferably in production environment.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Production/Manufacturing Office Environment

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
