Job Summary

The Senior Manager of CoreTrust Logistics is responsible for developing and proposing new logistics solutions for CoreTrust members.  The Sr. Manager will lead the CoreTrust Logistics pursuit team and meet with members to understand their transportation requirements, work with the analytics team to evaluate the potential value of a CoreTrust Logistics solution, work with the RFP team to evaluate RFP results and to define the optimal solution, and present the value proposal to members.  He/she will work with CoreTrust sales to qualify opportunities and to engage members to grow the number of members on the program and to secure additional revenue that flows through the program.

Key Responsibilities –

•            Build relationships with all CoreTrust Sales Directors and their teams

•            Work with CoreTrust Sales Directors to establish relationships with all Private Equity leads

•            Lead discussions with CoreTrust members to understand their transportation requirements

•            Qualify each CoreTrust Sales lead and move into the pursuit phase

•            Work with CoreTrust members to gather data required to evaluate value opportunities for each member

•            Work with CoreTrust Logistics' analytics team to evaluate member data

•            Build value proposals to share with members and define the value opportunity through CoreTrust Logistics solutions

•            Work with the CoreTrust Logistics RFP team to build RFP documentation

•            Work with the CoreTrust Logistics RFP team to evaluate RFP results

•            Build value proposals to share with members and present the RFP results and optimal solution

Duties (included but not limited to):

•            Build Pipeline and Grow Book of Business: Actively engage CoreTrust Sales Directors and teams to promote Coretrust Logistics' solutions to all members and secure incremental opportunities

•            Project Management: Manage active pipeline of opportunities through each stage of the pursuit cycle from introductory discussion through RFP presentation and contract execution

•            Revenue Achievement: Work with CoreTrust Sales Directors and their teams to secure additional pursuit opportunities and secure new business through solution development and value proposals to achieve 100% revenue attainment.

•            Analytics and Value Proposals: Work with CoreTrust Logistics' team of analysts to evaluate member data and determine the value opportunity through the CoreTrust Logistics program

•            RFP Evaluation and Value Proposal: Work with the CoreTrust Logistics RFP team to review RFP results, identify the optimal solution, and develop value proposals to present to CoreTrust members.

 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•            Excellent interpersonal and communication

•            Ability to build and maintain rapport with a variety of groups including CoreTrust Sales, CoreTrust members, Private Equity firms

•            Above average analytical skills and decision making skills 

•            Ability to professionally interact with high level officials both internally within CoreTrust and externally with prospects and members. 

•            Excellent presentation skills

•            Ability to develop and present materials effectively and persuasively

•            Ability to articulate and deliver value across multiple transportation modes

•            Creative, mature and disciplined in order to work effectively with minimum supervision

EDUCATION

•            Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or other relevant area preferred; equivalent experience may be acceptable.

EXPERIENCE

•            8-10 years overall related experience in transportation across all modes including LTL, FTL, ocean, air freight with emphasis in LTL

•            Expertise in LTL carrier operations and knowledge of LTL carrier service areas

•            Expertise in LTL pricing including classifications, FAK, base rates

•            Experience with supply chain tools: WMS, TMS

•            Solution development experience in supply chain and transportation

•            Experience in prospecting for new business
