Job Title: In-Plant Quality Technician
Location: Bristol, PA
Compensation: $68,000-$72,000/yr
Schedule: Day shift
Job Summary
The In-Plant Technician's purpose is to provide high-quality printing inks to the customer within their facility. This includes blending of finished materials to inventory control to final hand-off to the customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain supplier-customer relationship at all times
- Responsible for material handling, batch-weighing, and blending/mixing duties
- Operate laboratory equipment, testing equipment, ink dispensers, computers, etc., and maintain proper instrument calibration
- Run quality tests on produced materials, maintaining complete and accurate records of technical information, including inspection results and detailed notes on adjustment activities
- Identify ink chemistries for specific system needs
- Data-entry of orders and batch tickets
- Maintain inventory control
- Continuously monitor & improve work processes for increased efficiency
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment
- Adhere to preventative maintenance program for equipment
- Comply with all Company and Customer safety, waste, and chemical/hazardous materials handling practices
- Maintain good housekeeping; keep a clean and orderly work area
- Complete other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or customer
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- BS in Chemistry preferred but not required
