Job Title: In-Plant Quality Technician
Location: Bristol, PA
Compensation: $68,000-$72,000/yr
Schedule: Day shift

Job Summary
The In-Plant Technician's purpose is to provide high-quality printing inks to the customer within their facility. This includes blending of finished materials to inventory control to final hand-off to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain supplier-customer relationship at all times
  • Responsible for material handling, batch-weighing, and blending/mixing duties
  • Operate laboratory equipment, testing equipment, ink dispensers, computers, etc., and maintain proper instrument calibration
  • Run quality tests on produced materials, maintaining complete and accurate records of technical information, including inspection results and detailed notes on adjustment activities
  • Identify ink chemistries for specific system needs
  • Data-entry of orders and batch tickets
  • Maintain inventory control
  • Continuously monitor & improve work processes for increased efficiency
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment
  • Adhere to preventative maintenance program for equipment
  • Comply with all Company and Customer safety, waste, and chemical/hazardous materials handling practices
  • Maintain good housekeeping; keep a clean and orderly work area
  • Complete other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or customer

Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • BS in Chemistry preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 2yrs of ink experience (color matching, batch mixing, QC, etc) required
  • A self-starter: demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize work, and self-motivate
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff (production employees through upper management) in a professional, courteous manner
  • Reliable, dependable employee with good attendance practices
  • Computer competency using office applications (Word, Excel) and email
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide proficiently; this includes use and calculation of percentages, decimals, fractions, and whole numbers, and the understanding of unit conversions (i.e., kg to lbs.).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience working with hazardous materials
  • Ability to read and write clearly and concisely
