Job Description: Provides courteous and prompt telephone service while demonstrating a high level of customer service skills. Position requires a professional attitude and the ability to handle 100-200 calls per hour, monitor all emergency equipment (fire alarms, generators, emergency black phone, etc.) and announce all hospital emergencies: codes, fire alarms, etc.
- Minimum of 1 year experience on a PBX console or answering service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Ability to think logically, respond quickly and calmly, work independently and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English required.
