The Community Education Specialist 2 will perform the full range of program implementation duties. The incumbent will provide facilitation, communication, and coordination services to the Southern Sierra Prescribed Fire Council (SSPFC). The Community Education Specialist 2 will also be responsible for the coordination, assisting with the management, and delivery of educational programs to clientele and community members through a combination of education and training the trainers. This includes assisting with training, guiding, and supporting teachers with information and resources; evaluating program implementation; collecting and compiling attendance at events, documentation, and evaluation data from clientele and participants; and writing reports in compliance with funding requirements. The Community Education Specialist 2 helps to coordinate and monitor fiscal oversight and compliance with funding requirement and ANR policies and procedures, and effectively resolves conflicts and complaints.
Incumbent will help build and maintain an informal network of partners, develop California specific educational materials in coordination with relevant programmatic academics, create news releases and news articles, and maintain and enhance subject matter competence.
