2015 Special Olympics World Games Partners with CareerArc to Offer Career Transition Assistance to all Employees and 30,000+ Volunteers
LOS ANGELES (May 4, 2015) – This July more than 7,000 athletes from 177 countries will descend on Los Angeles for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games, the largest sports and humanitarian event anywhere in the world this year.
With more than half a million fans expected in Los Angeles for the event, it’s no surprise that 30,000 volunteers will be on hand to complement hundreds of full-time staff and interns prior to and during the Games, held July 25 – August 2.
Today, the Special Olympics World Games Organizing Committee, LA2015, announced an innovative partnership with HR technology company CareerArc to provide world-class career transition software to all of its volunteers, interns, and full-time staff. The employee benefit will enable 30,000+ volunteers and hundreds of full-time staff to receive job alerts, leverage social media and networking tools to increase the odds of finding a new job after the Games, as well as receive interview practice, resume development, and career transition assistance.
All volunteers and staff will receive complementary access to CareerArc’s CareerBeam product on behalf of the 2015 World Games.
